Protocol pack for KESS3 Master covering passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, combining OBD, Bench and Boot communication modes.
OBD mode reads and writes the control unit data via the vehicle's diagnostic port, without removal. Bench mode reads and writes the control unit by connecting directly to its connector. Boot mode reads and writes the control unit by connecting to specific points on its circuit board. This pack covers all access methods for this vehicle range, from older to the latest models.
The car and LCV segment represents the bulk of activity for most ECU remapping workshops.
In Master version, read files can be modified in-house or sent to a tuner of your choice.

Supported vehicles and modes
Please check that the category and mode correspond to your usage before ordering, as the protocol cannot be changed after activation.
Car/LCV
Passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, gasoline, diesel and hybrid, up to 3.5 tonnes.
OBD-Bench-Boot Mode
The three modes combined: OBD for quick intervention, Bench and Boot for ECUs that have been removed or are secure.
OBD, Bench-Boot or full pack: how to choose?
The three formats exist for the Car/LCV category. This product corresponds to the complete pack, highlighted below.
OBD only
Quick operations
Sufficient if you almost always work from the diagnostic socket, without removing the ECU.
Bench-Boot Only
Bench-booted ECUs
Required for cloning or most secure ECUs that require bench or boot intervention.

Activation conditions
How is the protocol activated?
Activation is performed remotely on your KESS3 Master device, via your Alientech ID, within 24 to 48 hours after the order.
Is the protocol time-limited?
No: activation is permanent for the chosen category and mode. Only vehicle compatibility updates are covered for 12 months, then renewable.
Can I add more categories later?
Yes, each category and mode can be ordered separately or in a pack. You can complete your KESS3 Master as your business grows.

Does this protocol work without a KESS3 Master unit?
No, this is a software extension: it requires an Alientech KESS3 Master device that you already own and have activated.
What's the difference compared to "OBD Protocols - Car/LCV" or "Bench-Boot Protocols - Car/LCV" alone?
This pack combines both: you don't have to buy the OBD protocol (€2,990.00 excl. tax) and the Bench-Boot protocol (€2,490.00 excl. tax) separately for the same category.
What is "full protocol activation"?
This is the equivalent of that protocol, but extended to all vehicle categories (Cars/LCVs, Motorcycles/Quads/UTVs, Agriculture/HGVs/Buses, Boats/Jet Skis) for the chosen mode.
Is the protocol different between a KESS3 Slave and a KESS3 Master?
The content of the protocol (vehicles and modes covered) is identical; only the product reference changes depending on the version of your unit.
