Shipping policy
7. Delivery and Receipt
7.1. General Rules
Products will be delivered by an independent private carrier to the address specified by the customer when placing their order. This address may be that of a pickup point, the customer's home, or any other address located in one of the destination countries offered on the website at the time of ordering.
In the event of partial availability of the ordered products, RS-Tronic may split the customer's order into several shipments. Available products may be sent first, with the remainder of the order shipped once all other products become available.
The delivery methods offered to the customer are determined based on the destination and the nature of the ordered products (weight, size, quantity, shipping warehouses, air transport compatibility). RS-Tronic will inform the customer of all compatible delivery methods along with their respective timeframes and rates before the order is confirmed.
As carrier pricing is based on weight as well as the actual bulk of the package(s) (which is unknown before the customer's order is packed), the shipping prices quoted by RS-Tronic at the time of ordering are provided for indicative purposes only. Should the bulk exceed expectations, RS-Tronic will inform the customer and indicate the amount of the additional charge. The customer will then have the choice of keeping the original shipping method by paying the supplement by credit card or bank transfer, switching to a more economical shipping method, or cancelling their order.
7.2. Receipt Procedure
Regardless of the shipping method chosen by the customer, RS-Tronic draws the customer's attention to the importance of following the receipt procedure set out below, failing which no delivery-related claim will be accepted.
7.2.1. For deliveries made by La Poste:
The customer is required to check, in the presence of the postal worker or delivery person, the condition of the merchandise packaging and its contents upon delivery. In the event that the customer has any doubt whatsoever regarding the condition or contents of their parcel, they must:
- Follow the Colissimo procedure (in particular, report any observed damage, all claims and reservations) and refuse the merchandise by immediately filing an anomaly report with the postal worker (report 170).
- Immediately report these incidents to RS-Tronic.
7.2.2. For deliveries made by any carrier other than La Poste
The customer (or any person receiving the delivery on their behalf) is required to check, in the presence of the delivery person, the condition of the parcel and the merchandise it contains, as well as the number of parcels delivered.
- If, for any reason whatsoever (even with intact packaging), the merchandise in a parcel is damaged or incomplete, the customer must refuse the parcel and immediately note the precise reason for the refusal on the delivery person's transport slip.
- If a parcel is damaged, opened, repackaged, or shows signs of damage but the customer deems the merchandise to be in accordance with their order (quality and quantity), they may accept the parcel but must note the poor condition of the parcel on the delivery person's transport slip. If, on the contrary, the customer has doubts about the conformity of the merchandise, they must refuse the parcel as indicated in the preceding paragraph.
- If a parcel is missing (relative to the quantity indicated on the carrier's slip), the customer must note the number of missing parcels on the delivery person's transport slip.
In the event of any of these anomalies, the customer must, within a maximum of 48 hours after the delivery person's visit, send a sworn statement detailing the damage by Registered Letter with Acknowledgement of Receipt to:
ST INTERNATIONAL
1 rue Guy Baillereau
37540 Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire.
7.3. In Case of Absence
In the absence of any recipient, a delivery notice will be left at the delivery address and a new appointment must be arranged.
It is specified that if the Customer is absent, the shipping company may deliver the products to a neighbour of the customer, provided that the neighbour has agreed to receive the goods. The delivery will then be considered as validly completed.
The customer must contact the shipping company to arrange a new delivery or a pickup at the nearest carrier depot.
Failing receipt of the merchandise or pickup of the merchandise from the carrier depot within 7 (seven) days of the first delivery notice, the merchandise will be returned to the shipping warehouse at the Customer's expense.
Return fees of 15 (fifteen) euros incl. VAT per parcel for mainland France (excluding Corsica) and 30 (thirty) euros incl. VAT per parcel for Corsica will be deducted from the order refund amount. For destinations outside mainland France and Corsica, the return fees will be equivalent to the shipping amount originally charged to the customer for sending their order.
Excluded from this refund procedure are all custom-made products specially manufactured for the customer. In particular, products such as wheel spacers, bolt pattern adapters, bolts, nuts, studs, and complete wheels (rims and tyres mounted/balanced) cannot be refunded. It will be the customer's responsibility and at the customer's expense to contact RS-Tronic to arrange a second shipment within 30 (thirty) days following the return to the shipper's warehouse, failing which the products concerned will be considered abandoned and destroyed.
7.4. Pickup Point Holding Period
In the case of delivery to a pickup point, the customer has 10 (ten) calendar days from the availability notification (received by email or SMS) to collect their order. At the end of this 10 (ten) calendar day period, the parcel will be returned to the shipping warehouse at the Customer's expense.
Excluded from this refund procedure are all custom-made products specially manufactured for the customer as well as, for safety reasons, wheel fastening products.
7.6. Timeframes
Average delivery timeframes are communicated to the customer, in the form of a date range, when selecting the shipping method and on the order summary. These timeframes are provided for indicative purposes based on immediate payment of the order (by credit card, for example). Any potential delay shall not give rise to damages, withholding, or cancellation of the order by the customer.
In any event, and in accordance with the provisions of Article L216-1 of the French Consumer Code, the ordered products shall, except in cases of unavailability or shipment by sea with confirmed delivery date exceeding 30 (thirty) days, be delivered within a maximum of 30 (thirty) days from the day following the day on which the customer placed their order, subject to full payment of the price.
7.7. Late Delivery
Any delivery delay beyond the delivery deadline (excluding special orders with a confirmed delivery date beyond the standard timeframe) and not due to force majeure may result in the termination of the sale at the customer's initiative. Such termination may only take place within 30 (thirty) days after RS-Tronic receives a formal notice letter requesting delivery. In accordance with Article L216-2 of the French Consumer Code, the contract shall be deemed terminated upon RS-Tronic's receipt of the customer's letter informing them of their decision to terminate the contract, provided that delivery has not taken place in the meantime. In the event of termination, RS-Tronic shall refund the customer for the amounts paid as soon as possible and, at the latest, within 14 (fourteen) days of receipt of the registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt.
In the event of a lost parcel: once the shipped status has been notified on the order tracking and after 48 hours for an Express Delivery order (in mainland France), 5 (five) business days for a Standard Delivery (in mainland France), and 8 (eight) business days for a delivery outside mainland France, the customer must contact RS-Tronic's customer service. RS-Tronic will then open a claim with the relevant carrier and keep the customer regularly informed of the outcome of this claim.
An investigation with the carrier may take up to 21 business days. If during this period the product is found, it will be immediately re-routed to the delivery address specified on the order form. However, if the ordered product is not found at the end of this 21-day investigation period, RS-Tronic will, at its own expense, proceed with a new shipment of the products ordered by the customer.
In the event that the ordered product is no longer available, the provisions set out in Article 8 shall apply. In the case of a product exchange, shipping costs shall be borne by RS-Tronic.
7.8. Quality or Conformity Issues
In the event of delivery of a product that does not correspond to the order (defective or non-conforming), the customer must file their claim within 7 (seven) days from the date of signing the delivery slip.
Claims must be sent by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt to the address indicated in paragraph 2 hereof, and must include:
- the customer's contact details;
- the product references;
- the reasons for the claim.
The return of products must be made within 7 (seven) business days from the assignment of a return number by RS-Tronic's customer service.
Failing this, RS-Tronic will not proceed with any exchange or refund of the products so ordered.
Any product to be exchanged or refunded must be returned to RS-Tronic in its original condition and packaging and must include the complete product, its accessories, and its instructions.
In the case of non-conformity of a product, return shipping costs are borne by RS-Tronic (a prepaid return label will be sent to the customer).
If the returned or exchanged product does not correspond to the original declaration made by the customer in their return request, the return shipping costs will be charged to the customer. These return fees amount to 30 (thirty) euros incl. VAT per parcel for mainland France (excluding Corsica) and 60 (sixty) euros incl. VAT per parcel for Corsica. For destinations outside mainland France and Corsica, the return fees will be equivalent to the shipping amount originally charged to the customer for sending their order.
All risks associated with the return of the product are borne by the customer.
Failure to follow the procedure set out above and the indicated timeframes will result in the customer being unable to file any claim for non-conformity or apparent defect of the delivered products, the products then being deemed conforming and free of any apparent defect.
8. Product Availability
The customer will find on each product page displayed on the RS-Tronic website a notice indicating the average timeframe before the product is shipped. This timeframe is provided for indicative purposes only. Any potential delay shall not give rise to damages, withholding, or cancellation of the order by the customer.
In the event of unavailability of the ordered product, RS-Tronic will inform the customer as soon as possible and offer an alternative solution, a delayed delivery, or an order cancellation. In the latter case and in accordance with the provisions of Article L216-3 of the French Consumer Code, the customer will then be refunded the full amount paid without delay and at the latest within 14 (fourteen) days following the confirmation of their choice.
9. Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, the customer has a period of 14 (fourteen) clear days from the date of receipt to return, at their own expense, the ordered products for a refund.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to business customers, in-store pickups, or special or custom-made orders.
Products must be returned to RS-Tronic in perfect resalable condition, in their original new condition (original packaging intact, duly sealed, with accessories and instructions) and accompanied by the corresponding purchase invoice.
In particular, products such as clothing, maintenance products, and exhaust systems must not have been used in order for the customer to benefit from the right of withdrawal.
Similarly, if the product includes a warranty card or any other document to be completed, it must not have been filled in for the customer to exercise their right of withdrawal.
Any product that is incomplete, damaged, shows signs of installation, or whose original packaging has been deteriorated will be neither refunded nor exchanged.
In accordance with the provisions of Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, this right of withdrawal does not apply to products manufactured to the customer's specifications, nor, for safety reasons, to wheel fastening products that have been unsealed by the customer. In particular, complete wheels (rims and tyres assembled, mounted, and balanced to the customer's specifications) cannot be returned.
Exercise of the right of withdrawal will result in a monetary refund, by re-crediting the credit card used for the original order or, if impossible, by cheque. This refund will be made no later than 14 (fourteen) days following receipt of the product by RS-Tronic.
However, if upon receipt the product does not comply with the return conditions set out in this paragraph, RS-Tronic will be obliged to return the product at the customer's expense and no refund will be made.
To benefit from the right of return, the customer must follow the return procedure below:
1. The customer must go to the "My Orders" section of their customer account, then, in the details of the relevant order, click on the "Request a Return" link to select the products to be returned and confirm their return request. After the request has been processed by RS-Tronic's customer service, the customer will receive a return authorisation by email. Any parcel without a return number will be systematically refused.
2. Return the products and the original invoice, taking care to display the return number visibly on the packaging box. For shipping, 2 (two) options are offered to the customer:
a. The return of products is carried out by the carrier chosen by RS-Tronic or its suppliers. Return fees of 30 (thirty) euros incl. VAT per parcel from mainland France will then be deducted from the order refund. For shipments from outside mainland France and for parcels exceeding 30 kg or 150 cm, return fees will be communicated upon special request and by quotation.
b. The return of products is carried out by the customer themselves, or by a carrier chosen and paid for by the customer, to the address provided on the return authorisation.
During the return, goods travel at the customer's own risk; it is recommended to pack the products carefully and to take out shipping insurance.
If the returned product(s) are found to be unfit for resale (damaged, incomplete, or showing signs of installation, packaging in poor condition, etc.), the return will be systematically refused. A flat-rate invoice of 60 euros incl. VAT will then be issued to cover inspection and processing costs, to which return shipping costs will be added.
