KESS3 - Hardware Slave Version
The KESS3 is the ECU reprogramming device developed by Alientech. It reads and writes engine control units (ECU) and automatic gearbox control units (TCU) via three communication modes: OBD, Bench and Boot.
The KESS3 replaces both the KESSv2 and K-TAG in a single unit. It features a new microprocessor, next-generation I/O interfaces, integrated sensors and high-performance memory. Read and write times are reduced compared to the previous generation.
This reference corresponds to the device initialised in Slave version. In Slave mode, read files are encrypted. The modified calibration map is provided by your reference Master.
The Slave version allows full read and write operations on the vehicle independently, at a lower entry cost than a Master. It is the configuration chosen by workshops operating within a network around a reference tuner.

Identify your reference Master before purchasing: a Slave device is only operational when paired with a Master that supplies the modified files. At least one protocol activation is required to make the device operational.
