Protocol pack for KESS3 Master covering boats and jet-skis, including OBD, Bench and Boot modes.
Marine remapping covers outboard and inboard engines as well as jet-ski powertrains. Activity is seasonal and concentrated in coastal and lakeside areas, with a leisure clientele that is relatively price-insensitive.
OBD mode reads and writes via the diagnostic port without removal. Bench mode connects directly to the control unit connector. Boot mode connects to specific points on the circuit board. This pack covers all access methods from older to the latest powertrains.
In Master version, read files can be modified in-house or sent to a tuner of your choice.

Activation requirements
How is the protocol activated?
Activation is performed remotely on your KESS3 Master device, using your Alientech ID, within 24 to 48 hours after your order.
Is the protocol time-limited?
No: activation is permanent for the chosen category and mode. Only vehicle compatibility updates are covered for 12 months, then renewable.
Can I add more categories later?
Yes, each category and mode can be ordered separately or as a pack. You can expand your KESS3 Master as your activity grows.

Does this protocol work without a KESS3 Master device?
No, it is a software extension: it requires an Alientech KESS3 Master device that you already own and have activated.
What's the difference compared to "OBD Protocols - Boats/Jet Skis" or "Bench-Boot Protocols - Boats/Jet Skis" alone?
This package combines both: you do not have to purchase the OBD protocol (€1,290.00 excluding VAT) and the Bench-Boot protocol (€890.00 excluding VAT) separately within the same category.
What is "full protocol activation"?
This is the equivalent of that protocol, but extended to all vehicle categories (Car/LCV, Motorcycle/Quad/UTV, Agriculture/HGV/Bus, Boats/Jet-ski) for the selected mode.
Is the protocol different between a KESS3 Slave and a KESS3 Master?
The content of the protocol (vehicles and modes covered) is identical; only the product reference changes depending on the version of your unit.
