Activation of Bench and Boot protocols for KESS3 Slave covering agricultural machinery, heavy-duty vehicles and buses.
Bench mode reads and writes the control unit by connecting directly to its connector. Boot mode reads and writes by connecting to specific points on the circuit board. This activation covers Bench and Boot access on this vehicle range, from older to the latest equipment.
In Slave version, read files are encrypted. The modified calibration map is provided by your reference Master.

Supported vehicles and modes
Please check that the category and mode correspond to your usage before ordering, as the protocol cannot be modified after activation.

Tractors and agricultural machinery, trucks, buses and coaches.
Bench-Boot Mode
Reading and writing directly on the ECU (Bench mode) or on its open circuit board (Boot mode), necessary for the most secure ECUs or for cloning.

This product covers only Bench-Boot mode. Compare with OBD-only mode or the complete pack below before ordering.
OBD Only
OBD read mode
Covers only OBD mode for Agriculture/Heavy Duty/Bus. Sufficient if you almost always work from the diagnostic socket, without removing the ECU.
Bench-Boot only
ECUs in stock: this product
Required for cloning or the most secure ECUs that require Bench or Boot intervention.
Complete Pack
OBD + Bench-Boot

Activation requirements
How is the protocol activated?
Activation is performed remotely on your KESS3 Slave device, using your Alientech ID, within 24 to 48 hours after your order.
Is the protocol time-limited?
No: activation is permanent for the Car/LVC category and OBD-Bench-Boot mode. Only vehicle compatibility updates are covered for 12 months, then renewable.
Can I add more categories later?
Yes, each category and mode can be purchased separately or as a pack. You can complete your KESS3 Slave as your business grows (Motorcycle/Quad/UTV, Agriculture/Trucks/Buses, Boats/Jet-skis).

Does this protocol work without a KESS3 Slave unit?
No, this is a software extension: it requires a KESS3 Slave Alientech device that you already own and have activated.
Can I add OBD later on Agriculture/Heavy Duty/Bus?
Yes, by ordering "OBD Protocols - Agriculture/Heavy Duty/Bus" (1 290.00 € excl. VAT) separately. You can also check if the complete Agriculture/Heavy Duty/Bus OBD-Bench-Boot pack (1 690.00 € excl. VAT) is more advantageous depending on your needs.
What is "full protocol activation"?
This is the equivalent of this protocol, but extended to all vehicle categories (Cars/LCVs, Motorcycles/Quads/UTVs, Agriculture/Heavy Goods Vehicles/Buses, Boats/Jet-skis) for the chosen mode.
Is the protocol different between a KESS3 Slave and a KESS3 Master?
The content of the protocol (vehicles and modes covered) is identical; only the product reference changes depending on your device's version.
